Celebrate with new clothes

Few more days to go before the sound of tong tong ciang from the TV or radio filled the air early in the morning! I'm so looking forward already, despite having to stay in Ktan till second day of CNY. This is my first year celebrating CNY away from home and I'm homesick already :(

Emo business aside, today I'm posting up my CNY loots ala Hayley,  lol!!
Dress from Topshop. I'll be wearing this for reunion dinner. The boy's family have the tradition of having reunion dinner outside with all the aunties and uncles so I guess this will be appropriate. Might be wearing it with my heart-printed stockings and I'm still indecisive which shoes to match. Hope I don't look too cute for my age and my status as a Mrs!
Might be wearing this for the first day of CNY cos I realize all my new clothes are either, beige, brown or black :( Hopefully the in-laws won't mind me wearing shorts for the first day though... Top from Forever 21, Lace shorts from Valleygirl.

And I'll be spending the rest of the CNY in Taiping!

I noticed my style this year has changed from being all girly to smart casual. Might be the age, the status of a Mrs or might be the environment. I don't know.
Top from Forever 21, bottom from Zara.
Top from Topshop, tutu skirt from online long time ago.
Top from Purpledotz, Bangsar. Bottom from Miccaz.
Top from Baci, Bangsar.
Tube jumpsuit from Mizu Closet.
Top from Forever 21. Still unsure what bottom to match.
Top from Room8008. Bottom from Pull and Bear.
Chiffon dress from Mizu Closet.
Top from Cotton On, bottom from Pull and Bear.

You might noticed I'm having all earth-toned and leopard prints. I'm such a bore, I know.

Last but not least..
My sleepwear wtf. Both top and bottom from FOS.

What I put on my face

Forgive me that I'm not so in the mood to continue my Bali post at the moment and furthermore my 14" laptop is currently in computer shop for reformatting. Been living in peace with Trojans over a year and now all my external harddisks, pendrives and memory cards been infected as well.

Was tidying up my room for the coming CNY earlier today and thought I might as well compose a post on the makeup products that I've been using.

Base/ Foundation
I've been using Gowoonsesang BB Cream for like 2 years plus now and regardless how much bad reviews people had, I'm loving it to bits! :) It seriously made my skin (almost) flawless and my pimples has been reduced as well. Not sure if it's the BB cream or the skincare I used.

Well, I stopped using foundation eversince I started with BB Cream.

Compact Powder/ 2-Way Cake
Shu Uemura Glow Enhancing Powder Foundation #764. Been using it since forever. The above is the new refill that I bought. My sister was a makeup artist years back and she was always commenting that ALL makeup artist adore Shu Uemura. So I had been a fan since then.

Makeup Kit
Victoria Secret's The Sultry Look for convenience sake. Nothing much to rave about. It consists of eyeshadows, blusher, highlighter, lipstick and lipgloss.

Eyeshadows
Clockwise from left: 1) Elianto Baked Eyeshadow in white which I've been using as base.
2) Laneige Art Play Eye Palette #02 which I got as wedding gift.
3) MAC Burmese Beauty Eyeshadow that I bought for my wedding display.
4) Bed Head 4-Play Eyeshadow that my mum gave yearssssss back.
5) Cyber Colour Creamy Touch Eyeshadow #02 that I redeemed in Sasa.
6) Etude House Eye Pendant #PK001 that I use when I wanted light bare make-up.

Blusher
I LOVE MAYBELLINE'S MINERAL BLUSHER!! It's so pigmented and stays the whole day and I look radiant it it!

Also Shu Uemura Glow On Blush #33E. Cos' I'm a fan, remember?

Eyeliner
Top to bottom:
1) PA Pencil Eye Liner in Black which I got in Japan cos I forgot to bring any pencil liner.
2) Empro 1 Day Liner with dual-head function - pencil and liquid liner.
3) Empro Black Diamond Liner for more dramatic effect.
And Etude House Eye Glow Pencil for inner corner of my eyes.

Eyebrow Pencil
Empro Triangular Brow Pencil is the best and also the first and also the only brow pencil I've used so far ;)

Mascara
I would prefer Kiss Me's Volume & Curl Mascara (right) more as compared to Majolica Majorca's Lash Gorgeous Wing Neo BK999 (left). I have much longer lashes with Kiss Me and the curl stays the entire day!

Eyelash Curler
Koji Eyelash Curler that I got from Sasa in HK few years back cos' I read many awesome review about it online. And yes, I'm loving it to bits! Not sure if Sasa in Msia selling this now but it's not available locally when I got it.

Lipgloss/ Lipbalm
Left to right:1) Clarins Colour Quence LipBalm #11 that I got as freebies during my previous job.
2) Shu Uemura Gloss Unlimited OR528S that I got free when I purchase some other stuff from Shu Uemura.
3) Shu Uemura Gloss Unlimited PK382S that my sister gave it to me.
4) Shu Uemura Vinyl Unlimited OR521 that I bought for my wedding display.
5) Cyber Colour Shea Butter Lipbalm in Blueberry flavour. (Love it!)

You see, I don't usually fork out money for lips stuff. In fact, I took years to finish up the above products. I know the lifespan is like 6-12 months? But who cares..

I recently read about MaXFactor in magazines. Apparently this brand made a comeback after being invisible in the market for a long time. The best thing is, the counter is available in Kuantan's Parkson!!
False Lash Effect, the name says it all. It does really give false lash effect but unfortunately it's not that waterproof. My lowerlid turned dark by the end of the day.
Remember I said I no longer use foundation? I got this Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation in Warm Almond #45 and the above mascara comes FREE!! :) Initially I wanted to get the mascara only and it costs like RM60+ but they currently running a promotion. Buy foundation free mascara, such a deal innit? And the foundation costs me RM 72 only.
Lipfinity #012 and topcoat. Basically when the color lipbalm dries up seconds after applying, top it up with the topcoat/ clear lipbalm (right) and VIOLA! The effect is just like applying lipgloss and it's super mosturising. Best part is that the colour really last even after meal ;)

Is there any other awesome products that you'd like to share with me?

11.1.11 auspicious number wtf

I woke up this morning and asked the hubby what should we do at 11:11am? He looked at me confused and I told him it's 11th Jan 2011 today, so at 11:11am it's gonna be 110111-1111!!! ;) He turned away and ignored me wtf.

Went shopping alone in the afternoon to get CNY shoes. I've bought 7 sets of new CNY clothes and will be going KL for a day trip next week for last minute shopping. I usually got more new clothes but this year... ah, well :( Settled with 2 heels from Vincci and will look for another leopard print ballet flats.
And yes, I need a new bag as well!

Got a new haircut last week. Visited Park from Min & Shunji Matsuo in Bangsar and told her to do anything she likes.
And so I got a shoulder length hair now and I'm loving it! Was actually expecting for a shorter length. Maybe next time. And yesterday I coloured my own hair using Liese Bubble Hair Colour in Ash Brown! ;) It's really easy and I've loving the shade too. Will try Sweet Pink and Platinum Beige next time.

New year, new hair, new life. Lame.

And this is my first year giving out angpow!! o_O I'd prefer receiving angpow though *sigh* Saw few pretty red packet in Living Cabin and thought I might just get a few nice one for my nephews, niece and close friends..
Any idea where got get more pretty red packets??

Blogged this half-heartedly cos I'm lazy to blog about my Bali trip today.

Last pic to end this post.
SURPRISE!!! :D

Retail theraphy

I'm now sitting in my room in Ktan once again. Followed Ivy back to KL on Monday and managed to take some personal time off shopping at Pavilion before meeting the boy up and back to Ktan on the same day!

Wheee!!! I love shopping alone, don't you?
Oh Pavilion, how I've missed you so... T____T
I almost forgot all about this... how can that be?? T____T
Scenery shot!

I always love Christmas season.. this year I only managed to visit Pavilion and I heard there're huge teddies in MidValley and One Utama has got very pretty Christmas decor too!
So happening T___T These used to be really common sight cos I used to shop in KLCC and Pavilion almost daily but this year, I suddenly felt like shedding my tears looking at these...
I spent awesome time shopping in my favourite outlet Forever 21, Cotton On, Topshop, Zara, Diva.. there are SALES everywhere how I wish money grow on trees...

Finally bought a sequined chiffon top, black rosette dinner dress and a pair of earrings from F21, a kitty top and 2 knickers from Cotton On, a peter pan collared dress and scalloped top from Topshop and called it a day!
Back home in Ktan, 3 parcels waiting for me from my online shopping over the week..

Beige jumper from Mizu + , white mesh bandage dress (Valleygirl) and lace high waisted shorts (Valleygirl) from Intricate Frocks, rosette cropped top from Room8008. Love all of them!! :)

Checkout the rosette on my F21 dinner dress, gorgeous innit? ;)
And RM15 earrings from F21, such a steal!! :)
Looking forward to my 3d2n holiday in Malacca with my family this Christmas! Can't wait!! :)

Shifting dilemma

I'm in KL at the moment, came back 2 days back and will be back Taiping tomorrow morning. Like very busy like that -_-" It's true that sales are everywhere!! I went to Sunway Pyramid, One Utama and The Curve yesterday and today I went on shopping marathon to Pavilion, KLCC and Sunway Pyramid!! Managed to meet few friends for gossip session this trip, very fulfilling! ;) I'm looking forward for more meetups before I officially 'migrate' to Kuantan! And yes, more shopping trips too wtf. I'm planning to dropby Sg Wang next trip. I've never been to Sg Wang myself before, that will be really adventurous I think?

I'm starting to packup my stuff to bring back Tpg and stuff that suppose to bring over to Kuantan. Or shall I say, I'm trying my best, but each time I failed. I don't know where to start packing. I have too much useless stuff laying around. My room in KL is so dusty now cos I hardly come back. I don't know what to do with those clothes that I don't wear. 4 gigantic boxes of clothes and pile of bags that I don't use. I don't know what to do with them? I have no time to sell them online and I just can't giveaway like that. Mostly are brand new :( Donate to the orphanage? I doubt they gonna wear clothes like that.

And I have so many soft toys that I can never bear to part with. Few of my favourite like Dada, Ki, Kura, Kuri, Cubby are gonna follow me to Kuantan (I have no idea what his parents will think of me). What about the rest?? Bring them back to Tpg? My room back home is already full with my toys and my mum's gonna grumble if I bring back more. And I will never give them away. Never. Gawd, what shall I do? :(

And my magazine collection. My boxes of accessories. My DIY materials. My huge collection of paperbags wtf. And all those junks... *sigh* Life's hard. It's so difficult to move a room, I wonder how people move a home?

Anyway, I celebrated my 26th birthday in Kuantan this time. We had dinner in Chukka Italian Bistro in Hyatt Regency. I've been wanting to try out this place long ago. The atmosphere was awesome, food was ok.

The companion matter most ;)

And I had the best present from the fiance (!!) this year!! ;)

I set my eyes on this Olympus Pen quite some time back since I read the review on Xiaxue and Cheeserland. I was actually torn between this and Lumix LX3. But when I had my hands on them, Olympus proven to be more user friendly. Do expect better quality pictures next post! ;)

But seriously I think I can't bear to bring this out all the time as it's really bulky and heavy as compared to my old digicam. Yet again, I really love my new cam to the max, I have no idea how to describe with words. Of course the quality is not as nice as compare to DSLR, but this semi-pro cam is so so so so much better than my old one!! <- understatement! Spotted this lovely maxi dress in F21 yesterday. But didn't get it cos it's really transparent.

....... the truth is it's way too long!! Am I that short?? :(

Too free FML

OK, you girls are smart! :( Very smart!

In fact when I posted in FB, some commented it's nice but mostly didn't believe I got a new hair cut too. And few asking if it's a wig. Does it really look like a wig meh? I had the same hair cut last 2 years what... :(
See!! Same right!!

Anyway, my hair is now long, still very long and it's growing very fast as claimed by many and I shall grow it even longer!! Muahaha!! :DNew dress I got today. Love it to bits!! ;) And the same old phrase.. I'm broke :( But I can't stop myself.. :(

Proper update when I'm in Kuantan next two days.. with proper fast speed internet connection :)

To and fro

Im currently back in KL -_-" Was in Kuantan over the weekends and will be back Taiping on Wednesday. My friend just commented the other day, asking what kind of gadget she'll need to locate me -____-"

Anyway, we've confirmed on having our wedding dinner in Boulevard Hotel!! :D BOOOO!!! to those that didn't believe :P Why Boulevard, simple, cos my mighty ex-collegemate cum ex-Nikkolite Cecilia is working there and it'll be so much easier for me to deal with her and can be assured everything will run smoothly as planned.

And now, I have to watch my weight for my pre-wedding photoshoot end of this month. Before you conclude that I'm being exxagerating and start commenting that I should put on more weight etc, let me tell you that almost ALL my wedding gowns are figure hugging and I can't afford to add even half an inch ok!! T__T FML Why was I being so confident that I'll stay in shape for a year?? And now I have to torture myself already T__T

I'm deciding whether to get real manicure or to buy acrylic nails from the bridal house. Saw a nice set from the bridal house the other day and it cost RM180. Sounds tad pricey but after some calculation, it's worth investing as I can use it again for both my dinners and wedding day as well. Compare to those real manicure, probably I'll have to do it a few times and it'll cost much more, as I'm planning to get very blingkified ones. But will the acrylic ones look fake?? I've never use it before.. Suggestion ppl?

Black sailor outfit as mentioned in earlier post:

Sailor inspired top I got from Bangsar and F21 striped panel skirt. Love the top to the max ;) In case you're zooming your eyes trying to figure out what accessories I'm wearing, I'm actually wearing the same yatch necklace, and same beaded bracelets as previous post.

It's 1am now but I've had too much sleep today. What shall I do next?

*sigh* Life as an unemployed...

Pink hair anyone??

When I updated my status in FB the other day, many were surprised and even trusted me that I coloured my hair PINK!

-___________-"

Do I look that daring to you?

Anyway, I just wanted to add a pop to colour to my dull dark brown hair..

(I know I looked weird in this pic but trust me I don't look like that all the time!)

I don't wanna have boring dark brown hair for my photoshoot!

Yunny highly recommended the salon she went to, Japanese stylist, she said. So last two days I gave it a try and went to Eiji Salon near Mid Valley, for a transformation..

I told my stylist, Yoshi san, that I wanted lighter coloured hair. He later brought 2 Japanese magazines with lots of Vivi looking kawaii Jappy girls and started flipping and went... "ano.. ano..~"

"Maybe.. pink brown!"

"PINK??!!!!!" I was shocked.

"No!! Not this pink.." (pointing to a pink chair in the magazine) "Brown, but with a little pink tone.. suits you!"

(wipes sweat) "OK. I trust you!"

I forced a smile, still confused with the term brown with PINK tone. But I trusted him. Cos he's JAPANESE WTF.

Pink?

Pink?

Pink?

Pink??
I sent an MMS to the boy telling him I'm gonna dye my hair PINK and guess what, he replied "Green la.. better" :(

In the end, I was very satisfied with the PINK hair I've got ;)
I was expecting more pink in fact. Can you believe this is the lightest shade I've had after all these years of non-virgin hair??

Full length shot, cos it's been a while since I last did this.. Red sailor dress I got from Zara the day before. Damn love it ;) And I dressed up as black sailor today.. picture up next post ;)

With the rate my hair is growing, I seriously can't imagine how long it'll be when the big day comes.. Clearer picture under sunlight.
What say you?

Pink? or no?
