Wedding dinner in KL

I've been procrastinating far too long. Before I officially migrate to Kuantan, I was telling myself that I'll have at least a blog post a day since I'll have plenty of free time. But these days I spent most of the time lazing around watching movie, online, blog hopping, and not forgetting doing some chores like ironing, washing, cleaning wtf. I'm officially someone's wife...

As mentioned in previous post, our day got really hectic starting from the afternoon when relatives started arriving from outstation. My make-up artist was a little too early which made me panicked a little. My mum did her make-up first while I ran around settling some issues.
I specifically insisted for Shuqi's hairdo that I saw from an old movie and Mabel was awesome! She knew what I wanted right on the spot and I love love love her work!
Both our phone rang non-stop and I was really stressed out. Many unexpected issues - minor changes for seating arrangement, valet parking staffs screwed up, massive jam, liveband arrived late, etc etc... Lesson learnt: A bride should never ever take any matter into her own hand on wedding day!
My pretty make-up artist Mabel from Brilmac Events.
Almost 50% of the guests had arrived when I went downstairs to Wild Rice. Few friends and relatives came up to me to check on the arrangement and stuff. Seriously... never take ANY MATTER to your own hand! *sigh* I was running around like mad chicken in long red gown. Part of me was really excited to see all familiar faces again after almost a decade. A friend claimed, it was the biggest gathering ever after school!
My awesome Sales Manager Cecilia. She helped me out a lot in organizing everything including all the teeny weeny details. Mighty mighty CC ;)
Giggles and laughter ;)
With my family members and in laws ;)
I was so tempted to do the beauty pageant hand wave, which I think I did - not on purpose wtf. And I really like my red gown, my tailor is awesome ;) I shall opt to tailor-made dinner dress in future..
Few friends commented in FB that we looked like Prime Minister and the First Lady, HAHAHAHA!!! I shall not fake it but I like this comment! :P
Three-piece liveband that we hired. My nephew Jayearn performed his violin on stage as well but unfortunately the mic wasn't turned on. Those people in front didn't realize. My brother insisted its not on but the MC said it's working fine *sigh*.
The stage was far too small to accommodate the entire 2 family members for yumseng session.Poor hubby gotta stand at the back and my siblings were nowhere to be seen on stage. Must be somewhere at the back..
The MC also had a mini Q&A session for us, which turned out to be a little awkward cos the hubby did not get the answers right wtf. Our first domestic trip together was to Malacca but he answered Bukit Tinggi and our first kiss was way back in 2004... which he answered TONIGHT! Hello?? Tonight?? o_O

Both dad and mum gave their short speech and the hubby and I were asked to give short speech as well, which we did not prepare at all. So it's in fact really short-lah!
Friends from my hometown.. primary schoolmates and secondary schoolmates... they're oh-so-gorgeous!! ;)
College mates from KDU ;)
Ex-colleagues from Acer ;)
The hubby's besties from Kuantan ;)
We enjoyed ourselves so much the whole night. The hubby drank so much and he was drunk by the time all the guests left.

Although there were some teeny weeny accidents that were beyond our expectation, but overall I was quite satisfied with the dinner. The attendance of all our guests was the best gift ever! I'm truly grateful to be surrounded by bunch of awesome people around me! ;)
I am one lucky lady ;)

Bridal Suite!

So my wedding is over and I'm now in my 2nd week as a Mrs! Many friends asked how am I feeling  but frankly speaking, I still feel the same.. I told the hubby the other day that I still feels like it's one of my random trip to Kuantan. Except that I gotta call his parents "father" and "mother" instead of "uncle" and "aunty".. I still feels a bit awkward with it.. Besides this, the hubby been pampering me a lot, we're both still in our 'newly-wed' mood. Everything feels so sweeetttt... haha! Can't wait for our honeymoon next month!

I'll be getting pictures from my KL's photographer by tomorrow so meanwhile I'll post up some pics taken in the room first.

We checked in one night earlier so adjust our mood, to free our mind and soul and to finalize all the arrangement wtf. My salesperson Cecilia who's also my ex-college mate cum ex-colleague is fantastic! She helped me a lot in all the arrangement including minor details, etc.. This is the very first wedding in Boulevard Hotel so I got quite a lot of privileges ;)

She upgraded us to a suite room for the first night.
Big spacious room with walk-in wardrobe, living room and kitchenette ;)

The next day, we're asked to move to the complimentary bridal suite right next door.
When we opened the door, there were some rose petals scattered on the floor leading to the bedroom..
Bed nicely decorated with rose petals..

;)
Personalized bath towels ;)
Welcome card from the GM to Mr & Mrs Tan.. ;) *shy*
Complimentary moist chocolate cakes with strawberries ad chocolate dip. It's really good ;)
Complimentary fruit basket..
And complimentary kiss ;)

Right after these pictures were taken, our day got really hectic with lots of relatives arriving from outstation, settling the table arrangement in the restaurant, caught up with the MC and jazz band that arrived late due to the massive jam around MidValley middle ring road, settling the valet parking issue and lots more. Frankly speaking I was very blur the whole day till the dinner ended, too many last minute changes in plan, unexpected incidents, too many old friends to catchup with, too many relatives to entertain, too many things that need my approval and arrangement.

Nevertheless, it was indeed one of the most memorable day in my life. I felt like I'm the happiest and the luckiest girl alive ;)

KL's wedding dinner coming up next..

Freaked out!

I was thinking for a moment, which friend of mine is getting married this coming Saturday when I saw this event popping up on my FB page..
And then I realised... shucks, it's MY wedding. -____-"

And when I wanted to blog about this, I clicked on my URL and this popped up..
Hello??? 2 days??????

I'm seriously getting married! o_O

The dinner cum ceremony in Taiping was OK, I didn't really feel that kinda excitement, yet. Probably I wasn't properly dressed up as a bride. Few friends called and asked how am I feeling. Truth to be told, I don't feel anything, yet. No excitement or fear of being a bride and somebody's wife, yet. Probably it's not the actual day. I'm just feeling.. Lost? Nervous? Panic attack??? I'm not sure which is the best word to describe... I'm just feeling unprepared for my big day. Not as a person, but the event itself. I'm not sure if I missed out anything. I'm not sure if things will run smoothly and as expected. I'm not sure how many no show's and how many last minutes arrival. I'm not sure if the seating arrangement, the flower arrangement, the bands, etc will be as expected...

Just took my red wedding gown this afternoon and I love it so muchhhhh!!!! Andoh btw, I've rented another pink gown to replace the blue gown, to be worn in Kuantan. Impulse wtf. I thought I've make up my mind not to change my gown??? Why am I renting another gown???

Will be checking in Boulevard tomorrow (one day earlier) to calm myself down... Namo amitabha... -_-"

Wake up for reality

Short update today..

I'm done with my favors folding, thanks to the help of my mum...
Now I'm thinking of how to transport 3 big boxes of favors to the hotel by myself -_-"

I really like the idea of putting message under the wedding heels, found some pictures online...
With some leftover bling-blings... this is my version.

Must remind my photographer to snap pic cos I doubt anyone will notice anyway! LOL

I woke up this morning and saw few Banglas setting up canopies in front of my house and it slapped me hard on my face - THIS IS FOR REAL. It's my wedding dinner tomorrow!

MY WEDDING??

Omg... I don't know what to feel.. Hello?? MY wedding? Seriously?

My new place

Let's take a look at my new room in Kuantan!

In fact we did not do any research or whatsoever, just a quick decision that we need a new furniture set, wallpaper and carpet.

It has been set that last Friday (24th Sept) was a good day for room set up. So I went over a few days earlier to clean up the room, wipe off the dust and arrange my clothes (IMPORTANT!) before I put in all the wedding necessities.

I love the overall feel, except the colour of the painted walls are a little too yellowish for my liking. And fully carpeted room!! I love it to bits but I can so predict how difficult it's gonna be to maintain in future, especially if I'm keeping long hair. Daily vacuum is a must, that is why we're looking for a compact and good performance vacuum cleaner.
View from another angle.

And the utmost important thing - THE WARDROBE!!

TADA~!!

OK-la... nothing much to shout about actually...
I gotta admit the wardrobe size is not as big as I'm expecting, in fact we're planning to get a smaller one earlier due to space constrain. Thank goodness that the salesgirl strongly recommended this unit for couple, otherwise I think I gotta pack my clothes in paper boxes fml.
It's quite difficult to look for clothes in the middle compartment, so I sacrificed myself and used it instead. The wardrobe comes in 3 big compartment and I occupied 2. It's normal for a girl to have more clothes, right? His mum came in and looked into my wardrobe in disbelieve, she commented I have lots of stuff as compared to her daughter. And later, she got to know that I still have 2 big boxes of clothes left downstairs. She didn't say anything, but I'm sure she's starting to judge her future daughter-in-law's spending habit, HAHAHAHA fml T_T I have part of my shoes collection left in the boy's car, yet to figure out where to place those. And yet, I still have like 10-20 pairs more in KL double fml.

My brother told my dad once, it's easy to make my in-laws faint.. just show them my shoes collection :(

You tell me how laaa.....

If I used to save all the money I spent shopping, I think I should be quite loaded by now :(
The vanity table. It sucks big time having to buy all BRAND NEW skin care and cosmetics for wedding!! I spent so much getting all new cosmetics and perfumes and in the end I decided to borrow some skin care from my mum -_-" I'm cheapskate like that. Gotta return back to her after my big day..
I placed all my costume jeweleries in the first drawer. Bought those small compartments from Ikea and it fits perfectly!
More jeweleries in the second drawer, all still in old boxes. I've yet to figure out the way to display them nicely.
Random stuffs in third drawer - old makeup tools, cosmetics, DIY stuffs, hair ties, assorted bra straps, scarfs, etc...
Collection of leggings and pantyhose in forth drawer. I used to wear pantyhose quite frequently in my previous job as it gets really cold in the office. Now I don't know where to wear these to :( And those fancy heart-prints, stripes, polka dots, diamonds and colourful leggings... I really don't know if I'll ever get the chance to wear them again T__T *heartache*

This will be MY side of drawers. Left 4 drawers on the right for the boy as he's sour that I occupied most of the space! LOL!!
TV rack with random stuff. The TV has not arrive yet, fingers crossed we'll get it before the big day. Placed some empty boxes to make the space doesn't look too empty, cos I still have lots of 'rubbish' to transport to my new place after the wedding. Photo frames, aromatherapy oil burner (which the boy doesn't quite fancy of), some random decor and wedding gifts by relatives and friends.
Dowry items that I purchased separately and packed myself.

More dowry items on the floor and wedding car plate.
New bed sheet which is a little too red. What to do, the elderly been commenting our room is too 'white' so I got a bloody red bed sheet to balance out everything. Never mind though, I think we can use this every CNY ;)

And oh, not to forget... the wedding photo that we rejected. More on that later!
A bride-to-be shall go to bed early...~
