The birth story

After the false labor on Wednesday (5.10.11), I was told to go back home and wait for contraction. But on Saturday (8.10.11) morning, exactly on my due date, the brownish discharge turned bright red and off I went to visit Dr Goh again. But again, I was told no sign of him coming yet...

I was tad dissapointed that I'm still pregnant and concluded I'll be pregnant for the rest of my life.

Surprisingly, my second sister and her family made a surprise visit to Kuantan that afternoon itself. Spent the day with them in Hyatt together with my mum. It was drizzling the whole day so we just hangout in the room.

At around 3 something in the afternoon, I felt slight discomfort in my abdomen. It's like mild period cramp that comes and goes away. Was it labor contraction?? My mum and sis were so sure that baby's coming in a day or two. But I'm still unsure after so many blind visits to the gynae.

At 5 something in the afternoon, I started to track my contraction using the Babybump application in my iPhone. They come every 20 minutes, and then every 10 minutes... I casually mentioned it to the hubby and my family and everyone was on standby mode. The contraction didn't hurt at all. Just like the cramp I usually had one to two days before my period.

The entire night, the contraction came every 8-9 minutes. I started to gather all my things and ready to go. I tried watching DVD but couldn't concentrate at all. I'm quite sure bunny is coming anytime. I remembered that I should be checking in the hospital only when I had regular contraction every 3-5 minutes. So I tried to sleep, but failed.

At around 2am, the contraction started to hurt and came every 3-4 minutes. I went to the kitchen and had some bread and milo and told the hubby that we should be getting to the hospital.

Upon reaching the hospital, again I was being offered wheelchair but this time, I knew I needed it. I was wheeled to a quad-sharing room and the nurse hooked me to the ECG machine to monitor the baby's heartbeat and contraction.

Dr Goh arrived shortly and did internal examination to determine how far my cervix had dilated.

2cm.

"This time it's real!" he said jokingly.

Then I was being transferred to single room, which I had the chance to take one last shot of my preggie look, haha!

I was asked to try sleeping through the night. But the contraction started to hurt and I couldn't sleep at all. I was being offered an injection to make me drowsy.

After a few hours, I woke up to a strong contraction. It lasted for a while and then "POP!!".. I felt water gushing down. Has my water broken?? The hubby called in the nurse and she confirmed that my water has broken. I couldn't sleep after that as the contraction was getting more and more painful. I asked for another injection but was told that I shouldn't be getting the injection that frequent.

So I tried to sleep in pain..

The moment after my water has broken, everything felt like a dream. Bad dream. I didn't keep track on the time but I knew nurses kept coming in to check on my contraction, my blood pressure and temperature. Then Dr Goh came in a few times to see how far my cervix had dilated. 3cm. Then a few hours after that 6cm.

I was being transferred to the labor room. The contraction hurts so much. I usually had real bad period cramp but this was worse.

Then my mum came with my MIL and I knew it was already morning. According to the hubby, I was being transferred to the labor room at about 11am. I wasn't really aware of my surrounding as I was focusing on my contraction. Breathe in with your nose, breathe out with your mouth..the nurse kept telling me. I held my hubby's hand tightly and he was by my side all time.

Dr Goh then did internal examination again and I was told I'm fully dilated. I had my eyes closed all time. Occasionally when I opened my eyes, I could see Dr Goh and 2-3 nurses busy walking around. I was hooked on to the oxygen tank and glucose drip. I concentrate with my breathing. The contraction hurt so much that I felt like doing a BIG poo-poo. I told my hubby I'm in need to pass motion, in which he casually mentioned it to the gynae. Dr Goh told me to go ahead and pass my poo-poo.. Half consciously, I just listen to him and PUSH.

The friendly nurse next to me kept stroking my tummy and chatted with me. I smiled at her when my contraction went away and I could hear her saying "Amboi... boleh senyum lagi..." Each contraction was getting more and more painful and I pushed with all my might. Then, I heard Dr Goh saying if the baby's not out with the next two more contraction, I'll be transferred into the operation room for emergency caesarean.

I wasn't really aware with what happened after that but I knew I kept pushing when I had contraction. Then I heard Dr Goh saying he's gonna help the baby out. He showed me the vacuum extractor and told me not to worry as the extractor is really soft. I kept pushing with each contraction. The hubby held my hand tight and I could hear him saying prayers next to my ear.

I made another push and I could feel something warm coming out and I felt a great sense of relieved after that. Within seconds, I heard loud cry and the nurse put the baby on my chest. He was covered with blood and vernix. He cried so loudly and I softly touched his cheek.

God, is this my son? It seems like magic to me.

They removed him shortly to be cleaned up and Dr Goh continued with the stitches that hurt goddamn much. I was in labor for 2 hours. I had episiotomy. I can't believe I gave birth to a little boy. I still can't believe I did it. It was a painful experience but worth it all when I carry bunny in my arms.

He is beautiful.

Baby Cayden Tan was born on 9th Oct 2011 weighing 3.26kg ;)

Cough, fever, flu... and then the BLOODY SHOW!

Was down with cough since Tuesday so we went to the gynae on Wednesday, one day earlier than scheduled. My weight has dropped to 63.1kg but bunny increased to 3.4kg! Dr Goh prescribed me with Prospan Cough Syrup and Zyrtec for the nose.

Unfortunately, that night itself, I was down with fever. From 37.4°C to 37.7°C to 38.3°C.. So off we went to the gynae again the next morning where he prescribed me with some Panadol and Zinnat antibiotic.

And that night itself, THE SHOW BEGUN...

Told my mum casually I'm seeing a little red (yes, mum is with me in Kuantan since the weekends) and my mum told my MIL and both of them was so sure the baby is popping and insisted that I call the hubby back from gym. So I casually gave him a call, asked him to be back when he's ready. He was still in the gym when I called. Then I went around to gather all my things and repack the necessities. I had no contraction at all.

Surprisingly, the hubby is right at the doorstep within the next 10 minutes! He went for quick shower and had quick dinner and was drained with sweat before we left to the hospital. Mum followed us while my MIL had her quick dinner. In fact, I didn't really feel like I'm in labor at all...

The hubby dropped my mum and I off at the hospital receptionist while he went to park his car. I chatted casually with the receptionist and told them I had bloody show. The nurse got me a wheelchair immediately, which I resisted. I told her I had no pain, only bloody show. Then she guided me up to the 1st floor where the maternity ward is.

Upon reaching the 1st floor, I was told all the rooms were full, including 4 pax sharing and even VIP suite. I was like, OMG!!!! Then she led me to labor room and I was asked to rest there while they sort out the rooming stuff. I lied on the bed in the labor room, feeling so stressed out.

Still, no contraction pain.

I was hooked on to the ECG machine for 30 minutes and could listen to the baby's heartbeat. The mum and hubby was sitting next to me and few minutes later, my MIL and SIL arrived. I was kinda shocked when they told me my FIL and another SIL coming later cos frankly speaking I didn't feel like I'm in labor at all.

In the end, I only had ONE contraction in that 40 minutes. They took me off the monitor and was asked to rest while they call up Dr Goh to see if I need to be admitted.

Waited for an hour plus and finally Dr Goh arrived. He did internal examination and concluded than even though my cervix had started to thin out and dilated, the baby's head is still very high up. So I was told to go home and wait till I have contraction every 5 minutes, since I'm staying nearby.

So today, I'm 39 weeks and 6 days and still very pregnant.

p/s: Sorry for not replying earlier comments... I will when I have the time to. I really do appreciate all your supports and love ;)

Today

I figured out I'll be pregnant FOREVER...

39 weeks 3 days.

Pregnancy: A single digit, finally

NINE days left.

Went for routine checkup today hoping for the gynae to tell me, "Oh!! You can be admitted NOW!!". Instead he just asked me to keep waiting....

Bunny's position was so low yesterday that I'm afraid he'll just drop out like that. I felt so much pressure on my bladder. Gotta hold my urine each time he moved and I dare not stand up at all. In fact, I got everything packed and ready to go last night but this morning, everything was back to normal.... No sign of him coming, yet.

Bunny still weight 3.1kg today and I'm 63.5kg... only increased by 100gm! Yayy!! Been controlling my food intake whenever I can, I guess it worked. Right after the checkup, I swallowed 2 Portuguese egg tarts and some papaya and honeydew. -_-"

The hospital seemed so quiet today when we visited. Even Dr Goh was so free to perform some magic tricks for us and we chatted casually for a while. Before we left, he told me he'll see me again next week... which I replied him that I'm hoping to see him again sooner...

BUNNY... WHY ARE YOU SO STUBBORN??

It feels like I have 48 hours a day.....

How to get unpregnant??

Exactly 10 more days till I'm due.

Why time seemed to pass by so slowly??? Every pregnant friends around me have delivered. Most of them were early by 1 week, 2 weeks, and even 3 weeks... And I'm still very pregnant. It seemed like I've been pregnant forever!

I used to tell bunny to take his own sweet time.. but lately I'm starting to brainwash him to come early instead. I'm so tired of being pregnant. Lately I'm experiencing real stiff shoulders, till the extend that it's interrupting my sleep. The hubby had been giving me shoulder rub every night before bed but the discomfort is really unbearable.

There's shortages of water today in certain parts of Kuantan area, my area included. Such a good excuse to pay a visit to the hair salon! ;) Had a very relaxing hair wash session and had my shoulder massaged as well. Many commented that massage is not allowed during pregnancy. Some said it's fine after the first trimester. Some said it'll induce labor. But hey, that's what I wanted!!!!

Bump to POP!!

As mentioned earlier, the hubby and I went for last minute photoshoot in KL. The studio couriered over the album and softcopies over to Kuantan last few days. Frankly speaking, it's not really up to my expectation but looking at the brighter side, at least I have memories of my pregnancy days.

Our favourite shot. We chose this to be developed into 8R and framed it up.

I guess this will look better if that piece of cloth is pulled back tighter..

I went to have my hair blown in A Cut Above in Sunway Pyramid before we went over for photoshoot as the package does not include hairdo and makeup. I don't know why, but the stylist made me looked like a 30yo. I was utterly shocked but couldn't do anything as we were running late and it was raining so heavily. Ah well, probably he just wanna style my hair to suit my bump!

So off we braved through the rain and went back to my brother's place in USJ where I did my own makeup and re-blown my aunty looking hair :( By the time we left home, it was still raining and we gotta go all the way to Cheras. We were late by almost an hour and both of us were exhausted running about and being stucked in the horrible jam.

Our moods were completely ruined when the photographer told us that he had another appointment in the next hour. When we had our photos taken, frankly speaking, I wasn't in the mood at all. The hair parting the stylist did for me was too over to the side that it keeps dropping and covering my face. And I was sweaty and dull.

When we're allowed to view the photos after the session, I was shocked and disgusted looking at my own photos. It's totally different when I viewed my pre-wedding photos where I was so much slimmer.

But overall, I'm glad to have this photoshoot and I told myself to have a better one next pregnancy... LOL!

STEMLIFE - A gift for bunny

Finally signed up with Stemlife this morning during my routine check up. The rep Mdm Kwok is really friendly and wasn't being too pushy either.

I first found out about Stemlife when I was working in Acer as the Stemlife headquarter is located right next building. Wasn't too keen about it last time prolly because I was still single and it hasn't crossed my mind to sign up for anything like this.. When I started visiting Dr Goh, I saw lots of leaflets there but still, been procrastinating for quite long to give the rep a call until one day, I was approached by Mdm Kwok during my routine check up.

I hope I'm giving bunny a brighter future by opting to store his precious cord blood.. ;)

And by the way, bunny weights 3.1kg now! Such a big bunny!! And a big mummy too cos I've hit the bandwagon.. freaking 63.4kg!! Till the extend that the gynae was asking me to start controlling my food intake.. *sigh*

Dear Bunny...

Mummy can't believe you're due in another 20 days. Will you be sociably early, fashionably late or right on time?

As my pregnancy and our 'alone' time is almost coming to an end, I feel an urge to write down my feelings, hoping that one day you'll have the chance to read, to know how special you are to mummy and daddy.. I'm afraid I've forgotten certain parts of ups and downs in these 9-10 months, but it has been an amazing journey to me. At times I wish I could hold you in my arms earlier, but I know I'll definitely miss the feeling of having you inside me.

When I first knew your existence in February this year, frankly, I wasn't prepared at all. I had all sorts of feelings. I was shocked. I was happy. I was indecisive. I don't know what to feel exactly. I don't know if I'll be capable enough to raise and take care of another human. A little human who'll depend fully on me.

I am glad that pregnancy been quite kind to me. You're behaving really well, truly mummy's boy! I bought lots of reference books and magazines to prepare myself for what's coming ahead. I tried to eat healthily. Although I tried to cut down on my caffeine intake, but sorry boy.. it's been real difficult to me. So I guess you'll probably grow up to like coffee too, and we shall hang out together in Starbucks next time ;)

You had been trying out varieties of foods - Chinese, Western, Japanese, and all sort of fruits. Mummy did not cut out completely on certain 'cooling' food but been taking in moderation. Thank you for not giving me any problems with anything I ate. You are such a good boy by not giving me a single minute of morning sickness either. I hope you do appreciate all sorts of foods when you grow up.

I remember drawing breath and clutching my tummy when I first listened to your heartbeat when you were about 2 months old. Having another living being inside me feels priceless! We were always anticipating for the next appointment with the gynae knowing that we'll be able to see you through the ultrasound scan.

As you grow bigger, I love to feel you tumble in my belly. Sometimes you made me laughed so hard seeing my tummy misshapen with contortion. For these 9 months, I was never alone. You kicked, rolled and hiccuped so much. As a matter of fact, you are so active right now that it hurts.

Many people commented you're going to be early. Mummy has got everything ready for your arrival. From tiny little rompers to booties, colourful toys, strollers and so much more, I hope you'll love them as much as I do. I have been nesting a lot lately. Been tidying up the room for your arrival and been checking on the hospital bags again and again, fearing to have missed out anything. I'm so excited knowing you'll be here anytime soon.

Darling baby, do you like to be named Cayden? Shortlisted a few names but Xander and Cayden are our favourite. As time passes by, I do feel Cayden sounds nicer and daddy preferred Cayden too. What say you? Also, daddy has been thinking hard on your chinese name. It's a big decision cos a name will follow you forever.

Daddy and mummy are so excited knowing that you are on your way. We will wait so anxiously to see your loving face - who will you look like? Daddy? Or mummy? But it doesn't matter much cos you're special to us and we will love you no matter what. Do take your own sweet time and we'll let you decide when you're ready to enter this big big world.. ;)

I love you so much..
Mummy

Felting for the bunny

I started doing felt craft since secondary time. That time I used to sew teddies and whatsnot for my close friends. Believe it or not, I started doing it again after 10 freaking years..

Bought felt cloths in variety of colours when I was back in KL few months back. And coincidently the sewing supply shop carries some Japan imported guide books as well.

Of course I couldn't read a singe word from that book but to depend on the illustration alone.

Been working on a book for bunny since months ago but been procrastinating too much...

When I first started out with this project, I was thinking if I could maybe make a few and sell them online. And I could make it as a side business and occupy my free time. Perhaps I think too much, completing this book alone is already an achievement.

And finally after months of cutting and stitching...

TADA~!!!!
This is the cover. Initially I was thinking of putting bunny's name but unfortunately we haven't decided on a name for him...

I'm quite satisfied with the final result. What say you? ;)

I couldn't find any white/ black/ red visual stimulation book for bunny so I've decided to take this matter into my own hand..
Completed this within 2 days thank God..

I still have lots of leftover felt cloths and indecisive what to do with it.. Maybe decoration on his cot bed? ;)

Pregnancy: My violent little bunny!!

The hubby was telling me about the Shangri-La Hotels owner's achievements last night when the bunny moved so violently inside me! I managed to grab my camera nearby and capture the special moment...

Watch these!
(..and pardon my hairy tummy! :P)

On the other note, went for another checkup today and bunny already weights 2.71kg where else I myself came to 60.8kg.. Not bad as I've only increased 0.6kg since last 2 weeks and 0.3kg belongs to bunny! haha!! Everything is progressing well. Can't really see bunny clearly from the 4D scan as his face was too close to the placenta. Managed to have a glimpse at his chubby cheeks though ;)

Another 30 days to go.. Are you excited baby??? :D

Pregnancy: 35 weeks... 5 weeks to go!

I can't believe I've made it this far. Another 35 days to go before the arrival of the little one.. and our lives will never be the same again.

I'm having checkup every two weeks from now on. Last week's checkup bunny increased another 1kg. That's a big achievement! He weights 2.42kg and I'm officially 60.2kg now. Piled up 15kg in total and I don't know how many extra kg that I'll be piling more before my pregnancy comes to an end.

Went for maternity photoshoot last 2 weeks. It was arranged kinda last minute though due to some unforeseen circumstances. Not much shot was taken, in total we've selected only 20 poses which will be made into an album. Hopefully will be able to get it before bunny arrives. I'm planning to conduct my own photoshoot session in my own room with the help of tripod and self-timer soon.

Unfortunately I had the worst water retention ever during the day of my photoshoot. I ballooned so much within a night and could hardly fit in my wedding ring. It's taking a toll on me, I have feet of an elephant now. Looking at my own photos gave me a shock and I'm ashamed to say, I don't like how I look now. Also over the past few days, I've been struggling with sore feet and hand. It usually gets worst in the morning, I could hardly clench my fist and step on the floor. It's as if I've ran a marathon the night before. Made some research online and apparently it happens to certain pregnant ladies. The soreness is mainly due to water retention and should go away after delivery, fingers crossed.

Bunny is growing bigger and he starts to put more pressure on my bladder, my toilet visits getting more frequent, to a point it gets kinda annoying. Also, I get breathless more easily and it's really hard to take a deep breath. Suffers the most during night time on bed where I get so uncomfortable having a watermelon sized tummy.

Had blood test last week as well and apparently my iron level is low but the nurse commented it's not a serious condition and advised me to continue taking my multivitamin that the gynae prescribed. Ah, no wonder I have restless legs syndrome.

I had my hospital bags packed and I'm done with my shopping.

My favourite purchase for bunny. I'm sure he's gonna like it although it's kinda obvious that the mummy likes it more, haha!

Rocking my mum's red maternity dress from gazillion years ago! It's a keepsake I'm telling ya! ;)

With my sisters last two weeks during my visit to KL. I looked so big and round!

Also, bunny is so lucky having presents sent to him even before he greets the world!
From Aunty Amy all the way from Sitiawan.

From Aunty Christine all the way from Singapore.

He is one lucky bunny! ;)

p/s: As I'm composing this post, bunny is moving violently inside me!

My LOVE HATE relationship with pregnancy

Updated: 26th Aug 2011

1. People always make way for me in every crowded place.

2. Strangers (especially mums) started chatting away with me about baby preparation, arrival, what to expect, etc..

3. I have to literally roll out of bed the mission impossible style.

4. I lie aimlessly on my bed trying so hard to sleep but got mad pissed at the hubby for snoring away next to me, out of anger, I woke him up just because... :)

5. When I accidentally dropped something on the floor, I actually questioned if I need to pick it up. If yes, I wish it'll just fly up.

6. Getting weird stares from strangers, especially older people, when I wore something tight.. they were showing that kinda are-u-trying-to-strangle-your-baby's look.

7. Went to public toilet and struggle to get in the small cubicle, getting down the squatting toilet seemed like heck, getting up seemed near to impossible and then struggle to open the door and tried not to knock on my belly when getting out.

8. When I just finish peeing and the next 5 minutes I have to go again!

9. I spend hours sitting in front of my wardrobe hoping for miracle to happen because nothing fits and I'm sick of wearing the same outfit over and over again.

10. I struggle just to put on my underwear...

11. Waking up at 3am and start looking for food in the kitchen like a rat.

12. I have every intention to clean up the house but just the thought of getting up makes me tired...

13. Watching birthing show from YouTube and cry like a baby everytime I see a baby born and hear that first cry.

14. I can no longer see my :) without mirror assistance.

15. When I was queuing for my turn to the changing room the SA actually asked if I need a sit.

16. When I went wet market, random people always asked me to watch my steps.

17. I struggle to take off my once-used-to-be-too-loose wedding ring due to water retention.

18. When I went shopping and looked at XS body fitting top which I assume I'll be able to wear after delivery, I get weird stares from strangers from head to toe :(

19. When I tried on high heels, I also get weird stares from the SA and I made myself silly by struggling to buckle up the straps.

20. Tiniest thing made me cry for no apparent reason but the very next minute i might be laughing myself silly for behaving this way.

21. Reaching to trim my toenail seemed like yoga act.

22. Went shopping and head straight to baby department, it makes me realize I no longer consider myself a priority.

23. I start to wear my trousers up over my belly button! High-waisted pants rocks yo! ;)

24. Went to salons for hair wash and ended up looking 10 years older.. most stylist trying to style my hair to suit my bump!

25. Having kids coming near me, kissing my babybump and asking if I'm keeping a baby inside.

26. Walking in the mall for less than half an hour is even more tiring than shopping in Bangkok the entire day!

-to be continued-

Pregnancy: Insomnia is really killing me!

I rolled on bed, I woke up to visit the toilet every hour, I snacked, I read in dim light till I strained my eyes so much, and I keep rolling and rolling till I witnessed my room getting brighter and brighter..

Ah... good morning world!

And slowly I fall into sleep when the sun rises and the next two hours, I woke up to rumbling tummy. There goes my night!

Been having real bad insomnia lately I feel like I haven't been sleeping like, forever! I even tried sleeping during day time to make up for the loss of sleep at night but to no avail. Restless legs, and feeling so uncomfortable sleeping with a watermelon-sized tummy, breathless, and I have to keep reminding myself to sleep on my left side - for better circulation and to provide more oxygen for bunny, that's what I read. Sometimes I woke up in shock looking for my tummy.. Oh God, is it still there??

*sigh* This is seriously driving me insane....

On the other note, the bunny has been very active today! I can feel his legs moving on the upper side of my tummy... ;) Sometimes I really love the feeling of being pregnant. Having a little life inside you, the feeling is so wonderful!

7 weeks and 3 days to go!

Pregnancy: 31 weeks 5 days

Meaning I have exactly 8 weeks and 2 days to go if everything goes according to plan!

Anyway, I'm currently back in Taiping, was here since last Thursday and will be back next Saturday. Been feasting most of the time and my mum keeps feeding me with bird's nest soup. I can't believe I've converted into a bird's nest fan after I tried Lo Hon Ka's bird's nest concentrate. I used to dislike this so called healthy anti-aging bird's saliva before my pregnancy.

And by the way, bunny had been kicking less frequently this week so I decided to pay a visit to a local gynae this morning. Went to Dr Ng, he's the one who welcomed me into this world some 27 years back ;) No doubt he aged quite a lot now but I definitely feel more comfortable seeing him. Dr Ng had 2D ultrasound on bunny and so far everything seemed ok. But he asked me to monitor bunny's kick 3 times a day - morning, afternoon, night, at least 4 kicks in an hour.

Bunny's more active at night, after 10pm. He's more quiet during daytime but after the visit to the gynae, he keeps rolling and stretching until now! LOL!! Truly mummy's boy ;) According to Dr Ng, bunny should be mature enough by end of Sept.. which means if I'm opting for C-sec, I should be able to hold bunny in my arms by late Sept!! OMG OMG OMG!!! But of course, everyone suggesting natural birth which will be better for mummy and baby. Since bunny already head down, natural birth it will be if everything goes well! ;)

C'mon mummy's little man, keep rolling, keep kicking! ;)

Pregnancy: 30 weeks 4 days

Went for check up today, a week earlier than scheduled as I have plans to be back Taiping tomorrow for a short break. Dr Goh commented bunny is progressing well with good amount of amniotic fluid, so I'm allowed to travel! ;)

I've increased another 2kg since last month!! Now I weight 58.3kg and bunny weights 1.57kg. I guess by the time bunny's due, I should be about 62kg?? It's like... OMG!!!! But I'm relieved that bunny is progressing well and that's what matters most! ;)

During 4D ultrasound today, bunny is seen opening and closing his mouth.. just like nibbling on the wall of my tummy -_____-"

Bunny bites me!!

And then bunny licks me!!!

And finally bunny kisses me... ;) Awww....~

Can you tell I'm the happiest person alive? ;)

Pregnancy: 29 weeks 6 days

Guess what! If everything goes according to plan, I have 71 days.. or 10 weeks and 1 day left for my pregnancy! That's gonna be like.. 2 months plus minus.. o_O

And I'll be carrying my little baby boy in my arms and smelling him day and night and biting his backside and sucking his little toes and kissing his chubby cheeks and make him the best teddy to cuddle!! (Ok, now I hope he's not gonna read this sentence when he grows up..)

pic taken yesterday

I'm loving my baby bump to bits now. Bunny gets really active at night, usually after my dinner. I can feel him moving and stretching his legs at my upper tummy and once a while I might get really hard kick from him! It's really obvious to see his movement from outside of my tummy. When I'm lucky, I might catch a glimpse of him moving his legs and stop at a  spot and there will be a little bulge there. Then I'll give a tiny poke and he'll kick back! LOL!!

The feeling is awesome! Definitely something I'll miss after that! ;)

But bunny's really stubborn.. just like his daddy. Each time his daddy's near, he'll just stop moving. Very rarely the daddy can feel/ see his movement.. *sigh*

Maxi Cosi that we ordered and paid during the previous KL trip has arrived weeks back and last week we went over KL for a short trip to pick it up.

Both the hubby and I love it so much and we're sure bunny gonna like it too! It's really trendy and best of all, it can double up as a car seat!

Now, I need to look for a nice diaper bag... that doesn't look so much like a diaper bag.. -_-"

I'm in love with Ikea baby tub and slip mat but unfortunately it was out of stock when we went.
Cute right???? ;) Hopefully they're gonna stock it up soon. The best part is, the tub only cost RM29. It's much cheaper and nicer than those we saw from Mothercare and other baby shops. Not sure about the slip mat though, but I'm sure it's not gonna be expensive.

A childhood friend of mine, Pek Yin just gave birth to a cute little baby girl last Monday! I have no idea why but I shed my tears the moment I saw her pic with her little angel. It's like we went through pregnancy together and discuss about every details together and now she's having her baby girl in her arms already! How time flies!!!

And very soon it's gonna be my turn...

I will wanna be a SUPERMOM. :)

Pregnancy: 27 weeks 4 days

Time flies!!! It feels like I haven't blogged in ages again!!

Celebrated my birthday in KL early July with my 2nd sister who coincidentally shares the same birthday! My mum is definitely good in estimating! ;)

Then spent 2 days in KL doing shopping for bunny. Baby's stuff are seriously damn expensive!! And extremely cute too! The hubby and I spent hours checking out prams, cots, car seats and other necessities.. And I spent good amount of time admiring those cute little rompers, bibs and other cute-but-definitely-not-needed stuffs.

I'm almost done with my baby shopping. Got almost everything except for baby cot, bath tub and uhm... diapers. I'm so spoilt with choices!!! Oh by the way, we decided to get 3 wheeler cos it's definitely more eye-catching!
Bought Quinny Zapp in bright red! The hubby and I prefer black but considering the risk of mosquitoes attack, we ended up in red. It comes together with car seat, Maxi Cosi but unfortunately they were out of stock for the red ones so we ended up with grey instead.

By the way, if you ever notice.. that's me spotting new haircut ;) Short hair for mummy duties!

I'm now entering third trimester and my babybump is growing fast! Linea nigra is also getting very obvious now so I guess it's about time to arrange for photoshoot session somewhere in August!
Had monthly check up this morning and I'm now weighing 56.6kg! Which means in total I've gained 11.6kg!! Recommended weight gain should be 15kg or less and I have 3 more months to go. Guess I should seriously control my food intake. I asked the gynae if I'm overweight and he just smiled and replied, "If I say yes, you'll surely go on diet.. hmmm.. No lah, continue eating like how you used to be.."

-_____-" Which I take his reply as "YES, YOU ARE OVERWEIGHT!!"
3 more months to go but it feels like my skin is fully stretched to its limit now. I'm in my itchy period now sometimes I'll scratch myself the entire day like a monkey. My leg ache when I walk for too long, my back hurt when I stand and I'm so breathless when I sleep. I usually awake by 230am and have difficulty getting back to sleep the next hour or so. I wonder if my body preparing for feeding time when bunny arrives...

Saw bunny opening his mouth during the 3D ultrasound today. He weights 1.1kg now and already head down.
Here he's seen biting his lower lips ;) Unfortunately the color printer ran out of ink thus we got this black and white printed picture. Check out the video below instead!

With everything ready for his arrival, things are getting more real now and I'm feeling more and more like a mum!
